The Kilimanjaro VICOBA Network (KIVINET) is an organization which is apolitical, non-religion, not-profit making, purely social-economical development organizations, which will act as an umbrella of VICOBA groups in Kilimanjaro.

Making a positive change in the lives of communities through organized groups and empowers them with proper skills and adequate capital.

KIVINET works towards achieving economic development, social justice and sustainable environment. The objects for which the organization is established is to carry out any activities including but not limited to the following:

1.    Facilitate VICOBA group’s formation.

2.    Facilitate VICOBA groups on funds mobilization.

3.    Provision of intensive training to VICOBA group’s members on how to manage their groups and its sustainability

4.    Provision of business selection, planning and management on how to manage their groups and its sustainability

5.    Facilitating development and supply of VICOBA groups training materials which will enable VICOBA groups to obtain appropriate banking and group management materials

6.    Lobbying micro-finance institution for provision of business and financial support to the formed groups.

7.    Provide step by step business guidance to the members in VICOBA groups.

8.    Link up VICOBA groups, networks and individuals to share experiences on trade and environment in poverty eradication processes for least developed countries.

9.    To audit and provide monitoring and evaluation services to VICOBA groups.

10. To strengthen poor, vulnerable and marginalized people’s capacity to develop alternatives to unjust economic policies development through international trade.

11. To ensure that the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people’s needs and concerns become central in economic decision-making process of pertinent institution.

12. To prepare and implement plans to help the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people to liberate themselves in the hardship situation of education, economic opportunities and development.

13. To advocate, lobby and contribute towards development, refinement and implementation of development policies in trade and environment, associating them with health, HIV-AIDS, the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people legal and land rights, the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people’s democracy, the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people access to credit and the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people’s leadership issues.

14. To act as a force of change/catalyst to the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people - addressing of their poverty, suffering and injustice. Making the world a much better place to live by addressing people right to food, shelter and clothing –

15. Improved income security, environmental friendly surroundings, better working conditions and security.

16. To promote environmental development and protection in Tanzania by all means and strengthen regional and international cooperation on environmental protection.

17. To apply public pressure where necessary for the effective purpose effecting objectives of the organization.

18. To represent the interests of those organizations, institutions, societies or bodies concerned with trade, environment and economic development in the Multilateral Trade Negotiation Forums.

19. To co-operate and enter into arrangements with any authorities, national, local or otherwise and in particular in relation to Entrepreneurship in the region.

20. To accept subscriptions, donations, devises and bequests.

21. To take and accept any gift of money, property or other assets, whether subject to any special trust or not, for any one or more of the objects of the Organization.

22. To mobilize resources locally and externally to be used for the development activities.

23. Generally to do all other things as may appear to be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects or any of them.
